Enjoy

Alright, so I haven't posted anything in quite awhile. Although, I don't think anyone is actually reading this. But here it goes anyways...

Its funny how as you get closer to your departure date, things at home seem to come more alive. You begin to see the things you'll miss even though from day to day you normally don't pay attention to them. The great ease with which you can call a friend and meet for dinner an hour later. The company of your neighbors on a summer day sitting on your porch conversing. The ability to relax with your family in front of the TV. All these things will soon disappear. I will be thrust into a culture I know next to nothing about. Its ironic, but in those situations you crave what you never even realized you had; the comforts of home and those close to you. Guess I need to get started enjoying the things I didn't know I was already enjoying.

I read it, pauly. and I totally agree. i'm so happy and excited for you although feeling selfish because the thought of you in the same city has been comforting to me these past couple of years.

You're going to learn so much and live so much-- and i am envious.:) but what i don't envy is the food menu i'm sure you'll be eating. yuck. makes me think about the hare krishna place.
